Questions, answered straight.
Does JobCard really work offline?
Yes — it is built offline-first, not offline-as-a-fallback. A dropped signal changes nothing: jobs, customer details, and notes keep working, your changes queue up, and the app shows you plainly what is waiting to sync. You can close it and open it again in the same dead zone — the app itself is stored on the device, not fetched each time. When signal returns it syncs in order, and nothing you did while offline is lost.
What does it cost?
JobCard is free for founding design partners while we build it with them — and when pricing launches you get a founding rate we hold for as long as you stay with us. We are opening the first of those spots now, so the shops that join early genuinely shape what gets built. Pricing will be simple, per-business, and published on the pricing page before anyone is charged. No card required to start.
Who is JobCard for?
HVAC shops first — from a one-truck operation to a growing crew. Plumbing, roofing, and electrical follow as those workflows are proven with real shops. It fits teams that live on dispatch, quotes, and getting paid for field work.
Will the software ever charge a customer or send an invoice on its own?
No. Money steps — quotes, invoices, charges — move only when a human approves them. JobCard prepares everything so approval takes seconds, but the final word is always yours.
Do photos or storage cost extra?
No. Job photos and your full history are included in the price — no per-gigabyte charges, no export fees, nothing to pay to take your data with you. Photos are also shrunk on your phone before they are sent, so they upload fast on a bad signal and do not eat your data plan. That also strips the location tag phones bury inside photo files, so a picture of a customer’s property does not quietly carry their address around.
What happens to my data if I leave?
You take it with you. Export your full history at any time — every job, every change — and verify the file yourself. No export fees, no support tickets, no waiting. It is your data; leaving should be boring.
How long does it take to get started?
There is no implementation project and nothing to install — JobCard runs in the browser on a phone, tablet, or computer. Founding pilots also get hands-on help importing customers and putting the first real jobs on the board.
Do my techs need training?
If they can text, they can run JobCard. The field side is built for gloves, glare, and one free hand: big tap targets, plain language, and only what the day needs.
Can I switch from my current software?
Yes — paste a spreadsheet or CSV to preview and import customers and open jobs, then run JobCard alongside your current setup for a week or two. Nothing is written until you approve the preview, and founding pilots can do the first import with us on standby. Your history in the old tool stays exportable from them.
